Hello There!

Post by Swampthing11b » Sat Feb 18, 2017 2:22 am

Hi all! I'm a life long Star Wars fan and have always been interested in learning more about the Jedi way. In the time I've actually committed myself to this way of thinking, I've learned a great deal about myself and life in general. I'm currently serving in the US Army as an infantryman, a job I've been doing for close to 7 years. I'm also very much in to Lightsaber combat and have been doing some mainly self taught learning in the art. I'm actually in the middle of relearning soresu. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! And I'm glad to be a part of this organization!

Welcome aboard Grunt! I was Infantry as well in the Legion (French, not the 501) 1985-90 and then Australian Army Reserves (2000-2005). Seven years is a decent haul, good effort.
I practice Street Savate which has a lot of Canne de Combat in it (stick fighting). Similar to Soresu but faster and hurts more when you get hit. ;)
Are there Light Sabre schools where you are?
